Four Years in the Courier company

While working with the courier company in Cebu, I was able to know more about the internet world.

Aside from being the one who tasked to migrate the database from DOS-based to Windows-based, I was the one assigned in encoding the daily data communications for the international shipments.

And while doing the assigned regular tasks, i have some time to surf the internet during my free time. Those where the days I came to know and join some social networking sites like Friendster and others which I already left.

Aside from being in front of the computers most of the time, I was also requested by the management, to do courier jobs when the office lacks manpower. I did some delivery works of Japanese newspapers, parcels and other mail matters, including cargoes sometimes. I also did pick-ups of the same items.

One the fourth year of working there, my Aunte from Manila called me up. She asked me to look for the regional head of their department. She told me that she asked that head to look for a job for me.

So I did see the regional head and told me to process my papers for an appointment in the government. And in just a month of waiting, my appointment papers were released and I was way to go.
